Another ballot problem found in Palm Beach County

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Another ballot error is causing problems for Palm Beach County elections officials.

New absentee ballots are being sent to about 500 people after they received ones omitting one of the proposed amendments to the state constitution.

The Palm Beach Post reports ( http://bit.ly/SZqRHk) the ballots did not include Amendment 5, but gave voters the chance to log their preference twice for Amendments 1, 2 and 3.

The error comes after an earlier issue involving 27,000 ballots in Palm Beach County. Because of a printing error, a heading was missing, meaning they couldn't be scanned. Election officials have had to painstakingly copy all of those ballots by hand.

The problems, for some, are eerily reminiscent of 2000, when Palm Beach County was at the epicenter of the error-plagued election.
